The agency’s creative director, Bryan loves creating and performing, whether it’s in a conference room presenting a new campaign for a client or on stage with a bona fide rock band.
Any bucket list items?
Veuve Clicquot, mussels, golf balls (these are things I like in buckets).
What makes a great brand?
Honesty, soul and a great rhythm sectio…Oh, I thought you asked, “What makes a great band?” Actually, the answer is the same.
Great brands are honest; they know who they are and they are never afraid to show it. Expressing that inner self is the very essence of soul – and the best brands find ways to reflect theirs in even the smallest interactions.
As for the rhythm section – the players who keep time and lay down the groove – all great organizations have these: Essential players who don’t get the spotlight, but make it possible for the stars up front to shine.
What’s your favorite part of being a creative director?
The aha moments when inspiration strikes. It’s true that they come like a bolt from the blue, but you’ve gotta know where to stand to be struck by one.
What’s the best idea you’ve ever had?
I haven’t had it yet.
What’s the weirdest thing on your desk?
A fog machine (the fire department just left because we set off the smoke alarm making my Flixel)
