Austin & Williams is hosting its first annual clothing drive for Dress for Success, the international nonprofit organization that helps more than 50,000 disadvantaged women achieve economic independence each year by providing professional attire, a network of support and career development tools.

The clothing drive will take place Monday, March 14, through Friday, March 25, 2011. Clothing and donations can be dropped off at Austin & Williams, 125 Kennedy Drive in Hauppauge.

Dress for Success provides women with “interview” clothes while they’re looking for work, as well as a wardrobe foundation once they find a job. The following items are accepted:

• Interview suits, both skirt and pants
• Skirts, dress slacks, blouses/tops and blazers/jackets
• Handbags
• New, packaged pantyhose
• Accessories, including scarves and costume jewelry
• Shoes

In particular, there is a need for clothing in sizes 14 and up, as well as suit blouses.

All donations are tax-deductible.
